Despite outhitting their opponents 7-3, the Algoma softball team was walked off by Peshtigo 3-2 Thursday night.
The Wolves scored their two runs in the fourth inning thanks to an error and a run-scoring single by Olivia Cabino. The Bulldogs tied the game in the fifth inning and won the game in the seventh inning on an error.
Macie Zimmerman led the Wolves by going 2-3 while Natalie Ray, Sierra Slaby, Nora Krause, and Jadyn Nellis also joined Cabino in the hit department. Zimmerman took the loss in the circle, allowing three runs (2 ER) on three hits while striking out six batters.
