Wolves baseball cruise past Pioneers

The Algoma Wolves scored at least one run in all five innings played in a 10-0 win over Sevastopol Tuesday night.

Carson Leist sparked the first runs of the games when his triple drive in Chase Romdenne and later scored on a RBI single from Charlie Prokash. Leading 3-0 in the third inning, the Wolves doubled their lead in the frame behind a run-scoring double by Braeden Leist that errors helped him home on and a sacrifice fly from Jacob Massey. The Wolves ended game early thanks to a pair of runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Romdenne, Carson Leist, Prokash, and Dylan Seiler all posted two hits, with Seiler pacing the team with two RBI. Prokash allowed two hits and struck out nine in the shutout win. Cash Kuehn and Bo Tanck had the only two hits off of Prokash as they tried to help Andrew Wiesner's cause, who took the loss after giving up 10 runs (4 ER) on 12 hits while striking out two.
