Wolves baseball extends winning streak to five after twinbill sweep

The Algoma baseball team extended their winning streak to five after posting a 8-4 win against Mishicot and a 15-0 win over Brillion.

 

In game one, the Wolves and Indians traded two-run frames through the first two innings, leaving the game tied at four until the sixth inning. The Wolves scored three times in the sixth inning thanks to a RBI double by Braeden Leist, who came around to score along with Charlie Prokash on a double hit by Jacob Massey. An insurance came across the plate in the seventh to give the Wolves their final margin of victory. The Leist family combined to pitch all seven innings, allowing four runs (2 ER) on five hits while striking out 10.

 

In game two, the Wolves scored eight times in the first inning, thanks in part to a two-run homer by Braeden Leist, who also added a RBI single along with Parker Lischka and Jacob Massey. Three runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth prompted the early conclusion in the fifth inning. Braeden Leist led all hitters going 4-4 with seven RBI and three runs scored. Chase Romdenne, Carson Leist, and Massey also had multi-hit games. Charlie Prokash pitched all five innings, registering 12 strikeouts while scattering three hits.
