Wolves baseball wallop Tigers

The Algoma baseball team scored at least two runs in four of its five innings to beat Howards Grove 10-0 in five innings.

The Wolves scored the first two runs when Braeden and Carson Leist took advantage of wild pitches to score from third base. Carson Leist scored again in third inning when Aidan Jorns singled him in. In the fourth inning, Chase Romdenne scored on a passed ball before an error allowed Leist to score for a third time to make it 6-0 in the fourth inning. The Wolves ended the game earlier in the fifth inning thanks to the team batting around and earning a bases-loaded walk, a RBI flyout, and run-scoring singles from Leist and Jacob Massey.

Leist led the way with a perfect 3-3 for day with one RBI and one walk taken, which was one of 10 the Wolves drew on the day. Massey went all five innings for the Wolves, allowing no runs on one hit while striking out seven.
