The Algoma softball tied the game late but was walked off by the Chilton Tigers in a 3-2 defeat.
The Wolves struck first in the fourth inning when Macie Zimmerman scored on a sacrifice bunt by Natalie Ray. The Tigers would tally a run in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 2-1 lead run into the seventh inning. Ray crossed the plate herself in the seventh inning on a groundout off the bat of Madison Schneider. The Wolves were one out away from forcing extra innings when the team's second error of the inning brought around the winning run.
Zimmerman took the loss in the complete game effort, allowing three runs (zero earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out seven.
