The Algoma Wolves' girls basketball team saw their season end Friday night in a 49-41 loss to Valders in the regional semifinal of the WIAA Tournament.
The game was tight between the two squads with the Wolves taking their final lead with just over 10 minutes to go in the second half. The Vikings would pull away in the late stages of the game to secure a date with Kewaunee on Saturday night.
Jadyn Nellis led the way with 17 points thanks to five three pointers while Bristol Schmidt registered 15 points. The Wolves' season concludes with a 16-10 mark.
