The Algoma Wolves girls basketball opened up a 42-18 halftime lead and never let up in a 74-28 win on Monday night.
Sierra Slaby, Brooke Mattson and Nora Krause made the most of their Senior Night celebration, combining for 33 points, 21 of which came from long range. They weren't the only ones to score as Jadyn Nellis led all scorers with 16 points and Bristol Schmidt chipped in another 12 points. The Wolves' defense gave the Vikings fits all night long, including in the second half when they made just five shots from the field. Megan Schar led the Vikings with 14 points, 10 of which came in the first half. Mikala Gorham added seven points and Anna Jarosh pitched in five points in the loss for the Vikings.
