The Algoma girls basketball team could not close a two-point halftime gap as they fell to Lourdes Academy 56-52 on Friday night.
Haile Bauer showed a nose for the hoop for the Knights, scoring 23 points from inside the arc, including an 11-13 day from the free-throw line. Aubrey Schaettle kept the Wolves at bay with three three-pointers in the second half. For the Wolves, Bristol Schmidt led the way with 13 points, eight of which came in the first half. Jadyn Nellis hit three-pointers herself to end her night with 11 points.
