Wolves girls bite back at Bulldogs

The Algoma girls basketball teams turned a 28-17 halftime deficit into a 43-33 victory Monday night against Peshtigo.

 

Skylyn Baxter caused the Wolves fits early, finishing the first half with 14 of her team-high 16 points while leading the Bulldogs to the double-digit lead. The Wolves' defense tightened in the second half, allowing just five points on a free throw and two made shots from the field. 

 

Bristol Schmidt led the comeback for the Wolves, scoring 15 of her team-high 17 points after the break to complement the 14 points scored by Jadyn Nellis. Nora Krause added five point in the win to keep the Wolves perfect in Packerland play.
