The Algoma girls basketball team continued their hot start to the season, beating Oconto 66-45.
Even with the Blue Devils reeling in their hosts in the second half, a 40-12 halftime lead by the Wolves proved to be too much for them to overcome. Sierra Slaby hit five of her seven three-pointers in the first half to lead the Wolves with 28 points on the night. Bristol Schmidt scored 10 points, and Jadyn Nellis chipped in another eight points in the win. Addisyn Viestenz led the Blue Devils with 16 points, while Maycee Heimke and Kylee Gard each chipped in seven points.
