The Algoma softball team capped their afternoon with two-run rallies in the first and seventh innings to beat host Marinette 5-1 on Thursday.
Macie Zimmerman did the bulk of the damage for the Wolves, going 4-4 at the plate with two RBI thanks to a double and a home run. She also did it from the circle as well, striking out 11 Marines while allowing one run (1 ER) and three hits across seven innings of work. Hannah Nell went 2-3 including a two-RBI single in the first inning while Nora Krause drove in the other run on a single in the fifth inning.
Kaya Bodam drove in the lone run for the Marines.
The Wolves will stay in the NEC for their next opponent when they play Wrightstown at 4:30 p.m.
