The Zephyrs scored one in the bottom of the first and one in the bottom of the 7th to edge out a win against the Wolves. Braeden Leist got his second start of his high school career and was very efficient. He gave up one run on scattering four hits while the defense behind him was very solid. Algoma scratched out their lone run by Parker Lischka in the 5th on a wild pitch by SMC starter Fischer Makenzie. Algoma struggled to get the clutch hit, having runners on base all night.
Algoma is back in action in the friendly confines of Perry Field Friday night when the Vikings of Gibraltar come to town for a doubleheader.
