Wolves left chasing Storm, face Peshtigo Friday

The Algoma Wolves will be able to rinse the bad taste out of their mouth immediately after a 67-38 loss to cross-county rival Kewaunee on Thursday.

The Wolves found themselves down 22 points at the break as four different Storm players ended the evening in double figures. They played better in the second half, but they were still outscored 30-23 after halftime.

Kewaunee's Jade Kroll led all scorers with 19 points while teammates Summer Walechka (17 pts), Gabby Stangel (12 pts), and Lexi Hanrahan (10 pts) added to the rout. Ryley Zimmerman led the Wolves with 14 points, while Sierra Slaby (9 pts) and Brooke Mattson (8 points) just missed out on double figures.

The Wolves hope to bounce back against Peshtigo on the road at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs are 0-10 in the Packerland Conference and have not won since a 41-36 victory against Gillett on December 29th.
