Algoma girls top Gibraltar, face Brillion Tuesday

The Algoma Wolves will go for two wins in two days at home when they face Brillion after beating Gibraltar on Monday 48-37.

 

The Vikings and Wolves were closely contested throughout the game, with the home team grabbing a 27-21 lead before the break. Therese Gerdmann and Sierra Slaby each scored six points in the first half, with Slaby doing all of her damage from the free throw line. Slaby would score from the rest of the court in the second, ending her evening with 17 points. Gerdmann would end her night with 11 points, with Ryley Zimmeran contributing eight points. Mikala Gorham and Andie Schar each scored 10 points in the loss, with three others scoring at least four points. 

 

The Wolves will face the Lions at 7:30 p.m. as the visitors enter the Fulwiler Fieldhouse 3-9 and amid their second three-game losing streak of the season. Amaya Brooks scored 12 points in her last game which ended with the Lions falling to Oostburg 66-20.
