Algoma boys topple Cambria-Friesland, face tournament hosts Friday

The Algoma Wolves are one win away from winning the Elkhart Lake Holiday Tournament after topping Cambria-Friesland 52-33 on Thursday afternoon.

The Wolves did it from a distance, draining seven shots from behind the arc, led by three from Parker Lischka. The Hilltoppers only hit four three-pointers on the day while allowing the Wolves to outscore them 29-13 in the second half.

Parker Lischka had a big game with 24 points, while Chase Romdenne and Braeden Leist each added nine points. No Hilltoppers got into double figures, with Carson Burmania leading the way with eight points.

The Wolves will now face Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah for the tournament title after the hosts won their matchup against Black Hawk 67-39. Brody Feldman scored 20 points, and two others scored at least 15 points in the Resorters' win as they snapped a two-game losing streak.

The title game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
