The Algoma girls' basketball team ran out of gas in the second half as they lost to Oconto Friday night 45-32.

The two teams were tied at 16 at the break thanks to three three-pointers from the Wolves' Jaydn Nellis and seven points from the Blue Devils' Addisyn Viestenz in the opening frame. The Blue Devils received help from almost everyone to sneak past the Wolves, with four players scoring at least five points. Natalie Schuleter (10 pts) joined Viestenz (13 pts) in double figures. Nellis ended her night with 15 points for the Wolves, while Slaby pitched in eight points.
