Algoma girls look to continue Packerland streak against Oconto

The Algoma girls basketball team looks to go 2-0 in Packerland play on Friday night with a tough test against Oconto on the road.

On Tuesday night at home, the Wolves girls' basketball team rolled to a 64-36 win over the NEW Lutheran/Providence Blazers for Coach Mark Zastrow's 300th win. The Wolves made ten three-pointers, with Jaydn Nellis hitting five behind the arc.  Nellis finished with 21 points to lead Algoma, Rylee Zimmerman added 14 points, and Sierra Slaby chipped in 11 more.

Lauren McDowell (13 points) and Natalie Schlueter (11 points) made up for a quiet night by Addisyn Viestenz in a 59-25 win over Sturgeon Bay in the Blue Devils' last game. Their only loss was to state participant Wabeno/Laona ahead of Thanksgiving.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
