On Tuesday night at home, the Algoma Wolves girls’ basketball team rolled to a 64-36 win over the NEW Lutheran/Providence Blazers.
The Wolves made ten three-pointers, with Jaydn Nellis hitting five behind the arc. Nellis finished with 21 points to lead Algoma, Rylee Zimmerman added 14 points, and Sierra Slaby chipped in 11 more.
Algoma (1-2) claims their first win of the season after losing two close non-conference battles the past two weeks. The Wolves will now travel to Oconto to take on the Blue Devils on Friday night, with tip set for 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday's win was Algoma Coach Mark Zastrow's 300th career victory.
