Algoma boys prepare to battle Two Rivers

Early morning practices hope to pay off for the Algoma Wolves Boys Varsity team as they prepare for their season opener against the Two Rivers Purple Raiders.

Algoma went toe to toe with Two Rivers last year, with the final score being 64-33 in a Purple Raiders win. Algoma, coached by coach Eric Schneider, is determined to make sure they beat the Raiders this year, and the same goes for Two Rivers.

The Wolves finished Schneider’s first season as head coach with a 7-16 record, falling to Coleman 44-42 in the regional round of the WIAA Tournament. Parker Lischka returns as the team's top returning scorer at just under eight points per game.  The Raiders lost to Souther Door in the regional round of the WIAA Tournament, culminating their season with an 11-15 mark.

The Algoma Wolves play the Two Rivers Purple Raiders in Algoma on November 27th at 7:15 p.m.
