Algoma football hosts Oneida Nation/NEW Lutheran for homecoming tilt

The Algoma Wolves will have the homecoming mojo going when they welcome Oneida Nation/NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy to Perry Field for Peninsula Conference football.

Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas showed why they are ranked in the state with a 48-20 win over the Wolves last week. Joey Cabino, Grant Vandervest, and Parker Lischka all scored touchdowns as the Wolves piled up 333 rushing yards in the loss. Neither team threw the ball much with Vandervest throwing the only seven passes seen all night, completing three of them for 30 yards

The United's Bryce Liebzeit ran for 144 yards and a score and Reid Nelson threw 169 yards and a touchdown in their 35-14 win over Suring last week. The team is 4-1 on the season, taking their lone lump from the Titans last week.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
