The Algoma Wolves will host the Gillett Tigers in Peninsula Conference football Friday night.
The Wolves (1-1) are coming off a heartbreaking 53-50 overtime loss to Gibraltar in Fish Creek last week, while Gillett (3-0) upended Suring at home 36-28 at home.
Algoma quarterback Grant Vandervest threw for two touchdowns and rushed for three more as he accounted for 350 total yards on offense with 248 yards on the ground and passing for 102 yards.
Gillett has a dual threat at quarterback as well, as Jesse DeBauch has thrown for 821 yards and eight touchdowns, while being the leading rusher for the Tigers with 225 yards and six scores.
The pregame is set for 6:45 pm on 104.1 WRLU and kick-off set for 7 p.m. from Perry Field. Paul Schmitt and Henry Annen will have the play-by-play of the game that will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.
