The Algoma soccer team will open their season on Thursday with a familiar foe in Gibraltar/Sevastopol.
The Wolves went 10-5-3 last season, including a 4-4-3 mark in the Packerland Conference. They saw their season end in the WIAA Regionals with a 2-0 loss to Wrightstown. The team will have to rely on some new faces to get some of the same success they had last year, losing all five of its All-Packerland selections to graduation.
The United got off to a rough start earlier this week, falling to Kiel 5-0 on Tuesday.
Kickoff is slated for 4:30 p.m.
