Wolves softball bus up to Coleman

The Algoma Wolves softball team is set to hit the diamond again after splitting their weekend series as they take on the Coleman Cougars Thursday afternoon.

The results of that series on Saturday was a mixed bag for the Wolves as they lost the first game against the Southern Door Eagles by a score of 19-4. Coming back for game two however, the Wolves were able to get some good offense and slow down the Eagles enough to squeak out a 9-8 victory to salvage the series with the Eagles. They will now move their attention to potentially Coleman Thursday afternoon pending the weather.

Coleman had their way with the visiting Wausuakee Rangers on Tuesday afternoon, winning 11-2. The Cougars are 3-0 after their opening day loss to the Sevastopol Pioneers 10-9, having their overall record sit at 3-1 entering the matchup with Algoma.

First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
