The Algoma girls' basketball team could not climb out of a 24-15 first half deficit as they were eliminated from the WIAA Tournament with a 44-31 loss to Crandon Friday night.

The Cardinals were led by Lily Palubicki's 13 points and 12 points from Mara Stamper. Two others scored at least six points in the win, keeping them at home for their regional final against Mishicot.

The Wolves were led by Halle Panger's nine points and six points from Ryley Zimmerman and Sierra Slaby.
