Wolves girls look for second opportunity against Oconto

After a narrow loss to the NEW Lutheran Blazers on Monday night, the Algoma Wolves girls basketball team will hit the road and take on the Oconto Blue Devils.

The Wolves were close throughout the entire game earlier in the week, but there was no stopping Ebony Sinclair of the Blazers as she poured in 24. Algoma faced the Blue Devils earlier in the season, and lost 54-51 as a last second half court heave fell short in hopes for overtime. The Wolves got great performances from Ryley Zimmerman and Halle Panger, and will look to pull off a win this time in Oconto.

For the Blue Devils, they recently rolled over the Sturgeon Bay Clippers 88-31 behind an all-around effort from multiple players. Sitting at 12-5 overall and 7-2 in the Packerland conference, Oconto is tied with Peshtigo and 2 games behind the Sevastopol Pioneers. The second-highest scoring offense in the conference will look to use that against the stingy Algoma Wolves.

Tip-off from Oconto is set for 7:30 P.M.
