Algoma boys set for showdown with Clippers

The Algoma Wolves will welcome in the Sturgeon Bay Clippers on Thursday night for a Packerland conference battle.

The Wolves are coming off of a 68-52 loss to the Kewaunee Storm, a game where the Wolves stayed in for most of the first half. Kaden Vardon was his usual self, scoring 19 points, and Parker Lischka has become a strong second scoring option as he sprinkled in 12 as well. Algoma has lost five straight Packerland Conference games, dating back to their December 20th victory over the Sevastopol Pioneers.

Sturgeon Bay had a tale of two halves against the NEW Lutheran Blazers, as they led over the 4th place Blazers at halftime 33-25. The script was flipped however in the second half, as NEW Lutheran took control of the game and won the second half by 20 points, winning by 12. The Clippers have not won since their night honoring Coach Jim Benesh against the Wolves, where they won 58-35.

Tipoff from Algoma is set for 7:30 P.M.
