Algoma looks to slow down Eagles Saturday

The Algoma Wolves will look to play spoiler to a potential four game winning streak for Southern Door as they welcome the Eagles in for a Packerland conference matchup.

The story of the season for the Wolves has begun to turn around a bit, with two close losses and a win in their last three games, after having a few blowout losses in the beginning of the year. Algoma’s guard play will have to be strong in this matchup, as they will be tasked with matching up against Southern Door’s Drew Daoust. Kaden Vardon and Owen Robertson will be asked to get the job done well on both ends of the court, and both have been up to the task so far this season.

In the case of Southern Door, they will continue to feed the hot hand, and make sure Drew Daoust gets the amount of touches and shots he needs to take. Daoust is averaging 30.7 points per game, which is good for 7th in the state. The Eagles defense has been suffocating as well, as they have held five teams under 55 points this season.

Tip from Algoma is set for 7:30 P.M.
