Algoma girls plays in holiday fixture vs. Brillion

The Algoma girls' basketball season kicks off the post-Christmas break with a non-conference, neutral-site game against the Brillion Lions on Tuesday.

 

The Sevastopol Pioneers girls' basketball team outscored the Wolves 28-9 in the first half en route to a 53-30 victory to stay perfect on the season in Algoma's last game. The Wolves' Emily Kirchman used her strong post presence to be the team's high scorer with nine points. Amelia Robinson added six points, and Ryley Zimmerman scored five points. 

 

The Lions have stormed out to a 7-1 start behind Megan Schuman (15.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg) and Alaina Schwahn (11.8 ppg).  They have won their last seven games, including a 61-45 win over Southern Door in their last game.
