The Algoma Wolves' basketball team started their season with a win as they beat NEWCHAA 78-39.

The  Wolves put the game on cruise control after taking a 48-16 lead into halftime. Kaden Vardon made four 3-pointers and scored 23 points while Cody Kirchman added 18 points of his own in the victory. 

Corban Jackson led with 14 points.
