Algoma girls can't get past Chilton defense

The Algoma Wolves girls' basketball team struggled to get their offense going in a 35-19 loss to Chilton on Monday night.

The Wolves were held to just six points in the first half, and their leading scorer, Ryley Zimmerman, registered just five point on the night. Six others scored at least two points, anchored by three-pointers made by Sierra Slaby and Amelia Robinson.

The Wolves' defense did keep them in it, however, never allowing more than 20 points in a half. Adahlyn Hoerl and Erietta Davis each scored 10 points in the Tigers' victory.

Algoma will play Kewaunee next Tuesday.
