The Algoma Wolves were able to come back from a slim one-point deficit at the break to beat the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans Thursday night 50-45. 

 

Ella Madden led the Wolves with 12 points, including six in the decisive second half to help the team earn the hard-fought victory. Sierra Slaby chipped in 10 points and Ryley Zimmermann added eight points.

 

For the Spartans, Maggie Hanmann led the way with 11 points, while Sam Treml (8 points), Alayna Deprez (7 points), and Gabby Wech (5 points) all scored at least five points in the loss. 

 

Algoma will play Chilton on Monday, while Luxemburg-Casco is set to battle Marinette to open NEC play on Tuesday,
