Algoma Girls Basketball sees familiarity going into season

Algoma Girls Basketball will have a smooth time getting back into the flow for the 2022-2023 season, as the Wolves only lost two seniors this past season.

The Wolves get back all of their leading scorers, as Rylee Zimmerman and Halle Panger return for Algoma, as well as the whole starting core. The Wolves went out in the second round of last season's playoffs, as they lost to St. Mary’s Catholic 59-24. Algoma’s record last season should be improved upon, as they finished last year 11-14 overall, but 9-7 in the Packerland.

Zimmerman was able to earn herself some Packerland conference honors last season, as she went home with Second Team All-Conference. Zimmerman was joined by teammates Emily Kirchman and Sierra Slaby who were honorable mentions in last season's All-Conference teams.

The Wolves will open up play on the road for the new season, as they take a non-conference trip to Ashwaubenon to take on the Tigers. On November 29th, they will take on their first conference opponent, as they welcome in the new look Kewaunee Storm.
