Wolves football look to finish seasons strong vs. Suring

The Algoma Wolves football team looks to end its season on a winning streak when they travel to Suring on Friday.

The Wolves have won two straight games including last week's 64-20 victory over Sevastopol. They went from a 6-6 tied game at the end of one quarter of play to a 50-20 halftime advantage as the offense exploded for six scoring drives. Grant Vandervest piled up the touchdowns and the yards, throwing for 197 and rushing for over 210 yards en route to six total touchdowns. Isaac Yunk and Kaden Vardon also found the endzone for the Wolves in the victory.

Outside of their two wins against Wausaukee and Gillett, the Eagles have struggled to score points. In their five losses, the Eagles have been outscored 202-32. That includes last week's 57-14 loss to Wausaukee. Keegan Rattlin leads the Eagles with 93 rushing yards per game and three touchdowns on the season.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
