The Algoma Wolves may face their hardest opponent of the season on Friday when they host state-ranked Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas in Eight-Player football.
The Wolves bounced back from their loss against Gibraltar with a 48-14 victory over Gillett last week. Grant Vandervest scored five total touchdowns while throwing for over 100 yards and reaching 166 yards rushing. The Wolves ran for 429 yards total on the night as Issac Yunk (134 yards, 1 TD) and Kaden Vardon (88 yards) were also major contributors.
The Titans may be one of the toughest defenses in the state, having yet to give up a single point on the season. They have allowed just 259 yards this season, including just 37 yards rushing to run-heavy Suring last week in their 42-0 victory.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
