Wolves football look to bounceback win against Gillett

For only the fourth time in their short Eight-Player football history, the Algoma Wolves will look for a bounceback win when they head to Gillett for their first Friday night game of the season.

The Wolves struggled to get their offense rolling against Gibraltar in a 42-8 defeat last Saturday. The team gained less than 150 yards including just 16 through the air. Head coach Wade Vandervest told NRSN's Jacob Nate after the game last week that they just have to reset and move on.

Despite the loss, the Wolves are still outscoring their opponents 110-76 and outgaining them on the ground 826-651.

The Tigers have lost two straight since their offensive explosion against Wausaukee in Week 1. Since scoring 55 points, they have scored less than 50 points since, including a 26-20 defeating to rival Suring last week.

The two teams battle Friday night at 7 p.m.
