Scoring only seven-point in the first half left the Algoma girls' basketball team chasing the rest of the way in their 59-24 loss to St. Mary Catholic in WIAA Playoffs play Friday night.

The Wolves were outscored 41-7 in the opening frame to set the tone for the rest of the weekend. Sierra Slaby scored eight points for Algoma, but it was the work of Jaydin Vosters scoring 17 points and Chloe Vogel adding 16 points told the real story in this one as they paced St. Mary  Catholic the rest of the way, Two other players scored at least five points on the night.
