The Algoma Wolves girls' basketball team takes their roadshow to Neenah Friday night to take on St. Mary Catholic.
Down by 11 at the half was no big deal to the Algoma Wolves as they beat Manawa 44-40 in their opening-round matchup in the WIAA Division 4 Tournament Wednesday. The Wolves were able to stay in the game thanks to poor free-throw shooting by Manawa, which only hit six of their 21 shots from the charity stripe. Spurring the comeback was Emily Kirchman, who scored all 12 of her game-high point total in the second half.
The Zephyrs have not lost since a November 23rd matchup against Mishicot. They were able to avenge that early-season loss on January 14th by 15 points. Jaydin Vosters and Chloe Vogel lead the team in scoring with 16 points per game.
Tip is set for 7 p.m.
