The Algoma boys’ basketball team traveled to Sevastopol to take on the Pioneers in conference play on Thursday night. 

The Wolves offense was nearly non-existent in the first half as they put up 14 points and were down 10 at the halftime break. Roles would be reversed in the second half as Sevastopol would only score 13 points and allow Algoma to squeak out a 40-37 win. Kaden Vardon led Algoma with 12 points. 

Franklin Ash led the Pioneer offense with 12 points in the loss. The loss for the Pioneers marks their fifteenth straight loss and they are looking to turn things around against Kewaunee in their next contest. 

The Wolves next contest will be against Bonduel in non-conference play.
