The Algoma girls’ basketball team faced off against the Sevastopol Pioneers on Thursday night in a Packerland conference match-up.
Algoma had been playing solid basketball in their last couple of games and nothing changed on Thursday as they controlled the low-scoring first half and took a 15-9 lead into the halftime break. The Wolves were outscored in the second half by 1 point but their first-half lead was enough to propel them to the 36-31 victory.
The Wolves will next be in action on Tuesday as they travel to take on Southern Door.
