The Algoma boys’ basketball team faced off with the N.E.W Lutheran Blazers on Saturday but were unable to edge out a victory losing by a score of 76-64. 

The Wolves played the Blazers hard in the first half, holding them to 33 points while on their way to scoring 32 to only trail by 1 at the halftime break. From there N.E.W would propel themselves to victory in the second half by outscoring the Wolves 43-32 in the second half. The Wolves were led by Carter Zimmerman who scored 24 points, while Owen Robertson had 11 and Kaden Vardon had 10. 

The Blazers were led by Elijah Meerstein and Tristian Lynch who scored 25 and 23 respectively. 

Algoma will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to take on Gibraltar.
