Wolves boys bite back in loss to Peshtigo

The Algoma Wolves' boys basketball team easily could have rolled over and played dead after a tough first half in its 67-54 loss to Peshtigo on Monday night.

Buoyed by 14 first-half points by Kaine Fort, the Bulldogs took a 42-13 lead into halftime. The Wolves would claw back, outscoring the Bulldogs 41-25 in the second half. Owen Robertson hit four three-pointers after the break en route to team-leading 19 points on the evening. Kaden Vardon also erupted in the second half, scoring 14 of his 18 points after the break. Fort went on to score 25 points for the Bulldogs in the victory.
