The Algoma Wolves football team could not keep its status as the alpha dog in the MONLPC-8 East on Thursday night as they fell to Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas 36-14.

The two sides traded scores in the first quarter with a Carter Zimmerman touchdown run from 16 yards out sandwiched between a pair of Sam Marquardt scores for the Tigers. The Wolves' visits to the endzone would stop after Zimmerman scored from 12 yards away in the opening moments of the second quarter. Josh Kristof would score a touchdown for the Tigers a minute later and Lane Whiting would add touchdowns in the second and third quarters to put the game away.

The Wolves return to action next week for homecoming when they face Sevastopol.
