Algoma girls can't break Peshtigo defense

The Algoma girls' basketball team simply could not get their offense going Friday night as they lost to Peshtigo 52-24.

The Wolves could only muster 12 points a half in the contest and fell behind by 21 in the first half. They were able to get to the line 12 more times than the Bulldogs, but both teams finished shooting 50 percent from the charity stripe (Algoma 10-20, Peshtigo 4-8).  No Wolves players broke the double-figures mark, but they were led by Emily Kirchman who scored seven points.

Sydney Lund led all scorers with 14 points for the Bulldogs while Grace Wickman chipped in another 12.
