Algoma boys host Sturgeon Bay Thursday

The Algoma Wolves boys' basketball team is looking for its first win of the season when the Sturgeon Bay Clippers come to town on Thursday.

The Wolves are coming off a team shutdown that saw a few of its games get postponed over the last week, including its previously scheduled game with the Clippers on Monday. In their last game, Carter Zimmerman scored 14 points and Kaden Vardon added 13 in a 70-47 loss to conference-leading Southern Door on December 22nd.

The Clippers has also seen a number of its games get canceled or postponed in recent days, including a matchup against NEW Lutheran on Tuesday. Anthony Jennerjohn leads the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game, but it was Jack Schmelzer's 21 points that helped the Clippers get their first win last week against Sevastopol.
