Algoma High School

Algoma boys basketball nearly doubled up

The Algoma High School boys basketball team played their first game of the season Saturday against an opponent with game action under their belt already, and it showed. The Wolves fell to the Two Rivers Purple Raiders 73-38. Two Rivers played this past Tuesday beating Kewaunee by four.

Against the Storm, Two Rivers had three players in double figures with Cam Daffner pacing the team at 25 points. Saturday it was Alex Klein netting 23 leading a trio of double-digit point efforts. Like plugging a leak with your finger, bottling up one gives opportunities to another.

Algoma got off to a particularly slow start, managing 15 points in the first half. Algoma's next game is Thursday night at Gibraltar with tip at 7:30 PM.
