The Algoma Wolves softball team was just one bad inning away from potentially seeing a magical season continue, but instead saw it end after a 5-2 loss to Mishicot Tuesday.

The Wolves struck first with two runs in the opening frame thanks to Emersyn Wallace's RBI double and Makayla Guillette's RBI triple. 

Mishicot would answer one inning later with five run second inning spurred by a double by Taylor Weger, an error, and a single by Katie Koeppelin.

Maddie Prokash saw her Packerland Conference Player of the Year season close with a loss, surrendering five runs on six hits over six innings, striking out six.
