Sturgeon Bay's hitters had trouble getting the bat on the ball on Friday against Maddie Prokash. She struck out 14 batters leading Algoma to a 3-1 victory on the road. Prokash only allowed five hits in the complete game win.

The game was tied at 1 going to the sixth inning when Algoma was able to pull ahead with two runs. Missy Srnka had two hits and scored twice in the game.

Algoma will host the "War on the Shore" against Kewaunee on Saturday at noon.
