Algoma bats come alive against Sevastopol

Emersyn Wallace was an RBI machine on Tuesday, driving in six on three hits to lead Algoma Wolves Varsity past Sevastopol 19-8 on Tuesday.  Wallace drove in runs in the first, with a single in the second, a single in the fourth, and a double in the fifth.

 

Sevastopol scored six runs in the third inning, but Algoma Wolves Varsity still managed to pull out the victory.  Samantha Differt, Karley Schram, and Abigail Hoevar all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

 

Algoma Wolves Varsity got on the board in the first inning.

 

Algoma Wolves Varsity scored seven runs in the second inning.  The big inning was thanks to singles by Maddie Prokash, Hanna Wiese, Chloie Spitzer, and Wallace and a groundout by Brooklyn Hoffman.

 

Prokash led things off in the pitcher's circle for Algoma Wolves Varsity. She went three and a third innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out six.

 

Allison Daubner was in the pitcher's circle for Sevastopol. She allowed 15 hits and 19 runs over four and a third innings, striking out four.

 

Algoma Wolves Varsity totaled 15 hits in the game.  Wallace, Prokash, Spitzer, and Breanne Schmidt all had multiple hits for Algoma Wolves Varsity.  Prokash and Wallace each collected three hits to lead Algoma Wolves Varsity.  Algoma Wolves Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Makayla Guillette had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.

 

Sevastopol tallied seven hits on the day.  Schram and Differt each had multiple hits for Sevastopol.
