The Algoma Wolves softball team beat Oconto Thursday,  6-1.

 

The Wolves got things started in the first inning when they scored one run on an Emersyn Wallace single. They put up three runs in the sixth inning thanks to Hanna Wiese and Chloie Spitzer, who each had RBIs in the inning.

 

Maddie Prokash led the Algoma Wolves Varsity to victory in the circle. She allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking zero. K Susa took the loss for Oconto. She allowed nine hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out four.

 

Breanne Schmidt went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Wolves in hits.

 

H Wusterbarth led Oconto with two hits in three at-bats.
