Algoma baseball drops one to Wausaukee

Algoma baseball is now 0-2 on the season after falling in Wausaukee 14-5 on Tuesday. It was a close game in the fourth inning when Wausaukee got the lead for good with a three-run single from Cole Caylor. The Rangers would then add on 6 runs in the fifth.

Max Panger had a fine game for the Wolves tallying three hits in three at-bats.

Algoma will try for their first win on Thursday when they'll travel to Peshtigo for a conference matchup.

The Wolves have been competitive this season even though they are 0-2. Their first game of the season was a 1-0 loss to Southern Door. They are trying to stay competitive and get better this season. If Algoma can, they'll have a chance at their first conference championship since 2009. That was the answer to Tuesday's trivia question. Congratulations to Sue Haegele who answered the question correctly!
